Did someone say that I had to blog and sew at the same time? (and clean, and cook, and chauffeur, and.........:)
I would not trade it for anything in the world!
My Pastor spoke in bible study regarding "Changing Your Paradigms".
Point number two stood out to me... II. As long as we are comfortable in our existence,
we are resistant to change...
I undertake the responsiblity of not allowing my sourroundings and circumstances to hinder my progress. I will be strong minded and press through my obstacles.

Peace and Love everyone.
This is the INTRODUCTION from a book
Titled “Grace”… Quotes & Passages for Heart, Mind, and Soul, Edited by B. C. Aronson
“Try this: Ask several of your friends what “grace” means to them. Guaranteed, each one will have a different interpretation. There is divine grace that manifest itself in the love and mercy of God. There is the grace that we bestow on each other through forgiveness, kindness, and courtesy. There is the grace of style and elegance-as in growing old gracefully. Then there is the grace of movement or action.
One motivation to offer a book about grace is that grace (in any form) seems to be in such short supply in today’s world. Read a newspaper or turn on the television and you’ll see little evidence that compassion, courtesy, and kindness even exist. Look what happens in parking lots when two cars experience a near miss. Look what happens in restaurants when the wrong food is brought to the table. Indeed, most of us are so busy or stressed that there seems to be little time for grace-that is, to reflect on or receive God’s grace, to give grace or to receive the grace of others, or to live and act with grace in everyday life. It’s a loss because grace is one of the best things about life.”
I quote this piece because I like it and because I am thankful for my independence and for life itself. On Yesterday my family and I cooked, ate, ate, ate, ate, rested, laughed, talked, played, watched the tennis match on TV, enjoyed neighbors and of course I sewed a little.
This is what grace is to me!

Gentle Beauty!

What makes someone or something beautiful?
Is it how you dress it up? NO!
Is it a particular size? NO!
Is it how much makeup you adorn it with? NO!
Going into a textile store is like a candy shop for me. There is beauty everywhere. All colors, sizes, weights and textures. Throughout the history of the world, things that were considered beautiful have looked drastically different.
All types and colors.
I have friends that have been amazing influences in my life. The fabric that I am designing now is representative of my BFF’s from high school. As you can see we were all different hues and I LOVED IT! I thank God that I experienced a wonderful relationship with them.
Beauty is what's in your heart!

OK, I love material, fabric, swatches, cloth, textiles! All of it! Old and new. I like fabric. My husband lets me have all the fabric that I can "sneak into the house"! JK! So, lets be creative, I have designed some fabric with the assistance of my cute little helpers "ileeoz" and will be turning this beautiful fabric into some wonderful items.

Grace and Peace www. This is new and this is going to be fun! (Blogging: Inviting all into a world of open journaling.) So, how about an introduction. My name is Sonja and I love to sew. Some people say crafting, some say designing some say artist, skilled worker, artificer, or even creator. I say that we are all children borrowing pieces of talents called “gifts” from a massive originator. Some have the gift of teaching some have the gift of healing, the gift of loving, the gift of dancing, singing, motivating, empowering, story telling, building, designing, or even the gift of discernment just to list a few. My passion is sewing. I had an immediate obedience when I was younger of knowing that sewing would be at the top of my thing to do list. Sewing takes me to wonderful places especially when my children are happy and comforted with the items that I have made them. I am thankful and appreciative of this gift. Do I always know what direction to take my gift in my life, no but I shall never give up. Maybe this time

I will let my gift guide me through life.
